I only got to go to a few markets this season but I'm hoping next season to have a booth there at least every onther week. That was my goal this past season but with all the shake up's that went on with the growers market staff, I was not able to. We shall see how it goes...

Sunday came and went in a flurry. The weather was really nice (was worried about that) and there seemed to be a good flow of people all day. This year my son joined me, along with my daughter who is usually there with me. She took some of her creations to sell this year, which were received with much enthusiasm. She is hoping to have more stuff done by Christmas. My son started making recycled cuffs from belts and was there with his display. He did well for his first time out, He has decided to take a few cuffs in to consign at "Off Center". Who knows might have to get 2 or 3 spaces or "We art the people" next year. Didn't take many pictures this year, although now I wish I had taken more.

Now it's back to working on more art. I'm going to try to concentrate on doing more paintings and other things I have been shoving to the side.

As of yesterday things were going semi smoothly with my recycled scarf and arm warmes, until my Serger sewing machine decided to to go out. All of a sudden , there is a burnt smell and the thing just stops. Yes, sad to say the motor gave out! It sucks BIG time!!! since I had A BUNCH of stuff prepared and was on my way to getting much accomplished. Now I have to see if I should get this one fixed or just get another. Not to mention I wont be able to have all I wanted to have but hopefully folks will like what I do have.
I will be there tomorrow with way less than I originally wanted but.... them are the breaks.

I will call them summer arm gloves, they are great for keeping the sun from beating down on your hands and forearms. These are made out of recycled fabrics, I try to find light weight softer materials to work with. Will not start making the sweater variety until the end of September. It has been really hot this summer and I'm starting to look forward to fall.

Was going to be at the local (Robinson Park) Farmers Market this Saturday but it looks like that might not be happening. Due to some differences of opinion and how some things are handled. Everyone has there own way of running things and when it's other folks show....then you have to let them do it how they are going to it. Not that big of a deal, maybe next summer I will get my own space. For now I'm going to concentrate on getting new stuff into my shops and having a large selection for the two shows I'm signed up for right now.

Microwave kiln

Last week I went to Hobby Lobby to get a few things for a project. With my 40% coupon in hand I set out on my quest. Once there I certainly found the the things I was looking for and while checking out some resin molds the "Fuseworks Beginner's Fusing Microwave Kiln Kit" caught my eye. I've been wanting to try PMC and I thought "why not start with this" It is nice because it comes with a bunch of stuff to get you started with (glass not pmc) and once I buy PMC I can bake it in this little Microwave kiln. I went ahead and purchased it.

I was able to try it out the day after, The hardest thing about working with the glass is cutting it. I don't have allot of experience cutting glass but after a few attempts I was able to cut a few pieces I could use. The heating time really varies on the thickness and size. I took out the first piece to soon. I ended up putting it back in and it was done in about 5 minutes in all. You can peak in at it in the middle of firing it but once it's done don't lift the lid for about 2 to 3 hours later as you do not want it to crack by cooling down too fast. All in all using this kit was easy and a good experience.

Winchester Mystery House

It’s been a while, lets see…Where to start? Well, in May I had a birthday while at Super Con in San Jose. For those of you who are not aware my husband is an artist and I travel with him to various Comic book conventions around the U.S and beyond. Also deal his art on Comic Art Fans. That said… It was a good weekend . On my birthday we left the Con early and were able to go to the Winchester Mystery House. Was a real treat for me since I never got to go while I was living there. Got to spend some time with my brother which I don’t see often enough and also some good friends we only see about twice a year.

Besides traveling with my husband I have really been side tracked with this and that….This and that has not had much to do with creating new things. As I’m sure many creative people already know, sometimes you just hit a wall of question marks (or something similar) and I hit that wall hard. So shortly after last summer I decided I was going to retire from making things to sell. I really just felt like I wasn’t contributing anything to this whole “Creative” thing and was just spinning my wheals and getting no where fast! This made me want to retreat and I did to some degree.

After proclaiming this to my Family, which is really supportive but at the same time thought I was loosing my mind and frankly thought I was lying (mostly to myself ,Hahaha. They were all right!) I thru myself into….making a raised bed garden and paving my little patch of desert that I call my back yard. Yes, that’s right gardening and yard work. Have to thank my husband for supporting my garden endeavor, It actually takes up a lot of time! Even now when I don’t spend half as much time out there. He’s like “ Are you out there again!” it’s true I’m always tying to do one last thing before were about to go somewhere, But really it’s hot out here sometimes they need a little extra love. ;-) It is now way to hot for me to be working in the day on the pavers and cement work I have yet to finish, either I move the work to 6am or late evenings or I will not get to it until fall. Summer in Albuquerque is HOT folks!

A few weeks ago I started getting e-mails and letters from shows I was in last year. I automatically felt like I had to send them back saying…. Yes! I want to be in this years show. Then the realization that I have not made anything in a few months (well, nothing to sell). I just really felt and urge to get back to it and with this came a bunch of ideas and plans. I had plans ( before my retirement) to have new stuff in the shops in conjunction with my Robots and Lost girls that were accepted to “Stuffed Magazine” ( July 1st) but it looks like I have come out of retirement to late!!! Yikes! So sad….this explains why I have a bunch of the same stuff in my shops. So now with my new found creative energy I am eager to get back into the swing of things. I have signed up for “We Art the People” already will post other shows soon.

That is the short of it, well? Some of it. Thought I’d share some of my square foot garden attempted and other photos.

On Sunday we had burgers, I really don't eat many burgers and rather have chicken or veggie burgers. But Recently my husband started making burgers and they were really good! Now the only time I eat them is when he makes them. That said, He makes the burgers and I will make the side dish which is usually french fries. I was going about getting my french fries ready, picking, cleaning, cutting. I grabbed one of the potatoes and started to wash it and then looked down at it. It was this crazy little thing that looked like a potato baby ( at least it did to me). So, thought I'd share a few pictures of this little potato baby.

Last summer my kids and I decided to make a fire pit as a summer project. After some trial and error it came out great and we are enjoying it to this day. This summer we are going to take on another project....a cob oven! Yay, I've been wanting to make one for about 3 years now and I think this year will be the year that we get it done. So, with my "Build your own earth oven" book in hand and reading over others blogs and experiences Like this one "The Clay Oven" , I'm going for it! OK, I do still have to gather some supplies. For one, I have to buy clay because I haven't been able to find much near my place. There is allot of sand and volcanic rock! My car is rather small so I can't haul a whole bunch in it from other parts of town. My first step for now is gathering the materials for the Plinth. Thinking of making mine out of cinder blocks for the outside and filling it with stuff I already have. Hopefully, I will have this part done soon.

I'm also giving my raised bed square foot garden another try this spring. Last spring/summer was a disaster and disappointment. Almost took apart my box and threw it into the road in rage!!! BUT instead I decided I'm going to build 2 more boxes and give it another go. Hopefully by the middle of summer I will be baking pizzas and bread with fresh veggies and herbs from my garden. :-D

I have three dogs that we adopted from the animal shelter. Our youngest dog is the biggest of all three. He is a big love monster and we all love him to pieces. The thing that we found out about him when he was very young is that he suffers from hip problems. He cant walk long distances because when he does he is in pain or discomfort for a couple of days after. I have been looking into getting him a wheelchair to help support his back legs. This way he can go for a walk with his buddies and not have to stay at home all the time, He's only four and I would like him to be able to get out more. Needles to say, some of these wheelchairs are VERY pricey! I have found 2 that with a little fund raising I can get. I have been looking on line and ended up finding these on ebay. The first one and front runner is a chair from Dwanecart dog wheelchair and the other maybe.. is this one. Only because it's slightly less. But I like the first one because the wheels are larger and it seems sturdy. I think I would have to buy a strap for the front but i like the design of the chair much better.

Hopefully I will be able to get this soon.

Ok, a while back I quit facebook....closed it down. I was just so over it (guess not), I'm not the kind of person who is always on the computer or keeps up to the minute tabs on what people I know are doing. The truth is that it takes allot of energy! Guess I just don't have that much to go around. BUT I recently decided to go back and start a fan page for my Etsy shop/company. So.....here I am again. I have opened my page back up and have a fan page. Opening the page was the easy part, getting people to go there. Well, that's another story! :-)

I'm planing on doing some videos adding discount coupons and all around trying to promote myself a little better this year. We shall see how that goes. For now here is the link to my page.

Another year has rolled in! Wow, 2010 went by super fast!!! This past weekend we had a comic book convention here in Albuquerque. It was a pleasant surprise, Allot of friendly folks came out and it was a great time. I hear next year it will be on again and may be in a bigger venue. Very cool, it's always nice to go to a convention and then come right home after and not have to travel too far away from home. There were many people dressed in costumes.... but of course I forgot my camera on both days! This is why there are not photos on this post. Looking forward to next years.
This year seems to be racing last for the start, since it's already nearing the end of the month. We will see what this year has in store. Hopefully good.....Great things.

Alright, so....last Friday (the 13 th) I had the pleasure of doing Craft Punk at the launch pad. It was fun, got to see the fashion show and listen to some good music. Thanx to everyone who stopped by said hi and picked up some of my creations! I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted to, it was pretty dark and the pic's where coming out blurry. But it always seems like there is a reason I don't get enough pictures. When I went to San Diego Comic Con, I hardly got any good pictures. After it opened it was just way to crowded for me to walk around and take pictures. I tend to stick to the spot assigned to us and stay behind the table. It's safer there! I'll add the few pictures of San Diego to the end of the Craft punk pics

Been a while

It has been a while since I posted anything. I have been working on this and that...most recently I finished an order for a very nice lady who wanted 4 skirts done from her own jeans. Been thinking about doing spacial orders on this type of skirt. Don't know if it would be worth it, maybe I will give it a try. Also have been working on some arm warmers/selves. It was a pleasant surprise that most of them sold at the local farmers market a couple of weeks ago. I'm doing the market this Saturday and should have a few more done by then.

I've been trying to get into high gear, since I'm getting ready for "We Art the People". This year it falls on September 12 which is a Sunday. Already have my spot and am very excited about it. Haven't been getting as much as I'd like done but hoping it will all work out.

Oh, yeah also have a trip to San Diego coming up this week. It's time for Comic Con! Hopefully we will make it out for pre-view night and of course as always make some money. That would be very nice, because as you who have kids might know they like to eat, have shelter,clothes and a BUNCH of other stuff.....yes the list could go on and on. I will try to take lots of pics but sometimes its VERY crazy with people and I just stay behind the table. Cant hang with all the folks pushing, shoving and smelling up the place with various body odors. No, but really it's not that bad I just have to add drama to things. ;-) Hopefully it will be fun.

May came and went faster than I realized, it actually feels like this whole year is just zooming by! This past month I turned 40....that's right I hit the big four zero. I'm grateful for it and am really not one of those women who dare not say their age. I'm happy for every year that I'm given. May was a great month for be besides my B Day, I was able to get a new serger (which I'm VERY happy with) and received a ipod nano (yay!). Of course I should mention all the love and attention from my husband and kids, can't complain about that!

This month is also going by very, very fast.....I was on a roll for a minute with making this and that. But as of this week I have hit a snag. I will just say that creativity is a great blessing mixed with a vicious assault on my sanity (if that makes sense to anyone?). It's like being a Siamese twin, one of you just loves what you are doing and the other thinks it's complete crap! And they are continually at odds with one another, the trick is to get them to get along and not sabotage and cancel each other out. Becaues when they do it practically kills all creativity and nothing gets done. Anyway that's just part of the ups and downs of wanting to create (it is for me anyway).

On another note I have decided to close my Facebook page. I decided that facebook is not really for me right now. Maybe I'll reopen it sometime in the future but I doubt it.

One more thing!....

I will be at the ABQ downtown growers market this week end helping "Off Center" out at their table they have set up there. I will also have a few of my things for sale. If you can stop by!

Lessons

With Mothers day on the horizon I've been doing some thinking...of course it has been brought on by actual events going on. May brings Mothers day and my birthday this year will be 40 years on the face of the earth for me. Last year and this year have been real character builders for me but life as usual is the perpetual teacher. Some lessons are easier to learn than others and I really wish it would take it easy on me for a while.

This Lesson is about parents and children. Grown children to be exact! We have children and one can usually see the character flaws in our own children. Sometimes we try to correct them but sometimes, sometimes they are not flaws at all, they are just character traits that are different from our own and maybe we don't understand how they can be an asset to that particular child.

So, you get to see your child grow up and now you see they are not the person you wanted them to be. They are not on drugs, alcoholics, criminals and I guess the list could go on. No, they are not these things BUT they are not like YOU in the way of how they live or how they give or take affection, maybe even political views? It is my advice to you that you see these things as small or try not to focus on them. If you would like to keep your adult children in your life and have a half way good or great relationship with them. Constantly badgering them or punishing them for not being like you is really not a great game plan. Do your best to find a middle ground and above all work on having respect for one another! We all have a limit on how much we can take both as a parent and as a daughter or son. If not maybe they will take it for a while but don't be surprised or offended and take responsibility for when the calls and visits start getting fewer and far in between or worst case, stop contact with you all together. Maybe they don't think they are all that bad and have worked hard to get to were they are any particular time. MAYBE they are actually OK people and just because they are not JUST like YOU, you can not see or if you see do not understand.

I personally believe that sometimes it is better to cut contact with family members that might be toxic to you or your new nuclear family. Although I do not take a decisions such as this easy. I'm all for trying to work it out but this only goes so far for me. That said I would rather have peace :-)

I've been very pleased to see spring arrive! Been working on my back yard a little. I thought I'd kick off spring with making a fire pit. I found this link " How to build an Easy Fire pit" Yes, it seemed like it would be simple and fast! I had some bricks and even had some mortar! So, I set out with a determination and the directions.

What I found out was...that it wasn't as simple as it seemed in the directions (at least it wasn't for me). It actually took about 4 days to finish. One of the reasons was because my car is small and can not carry allot of bricks and heavy things that I needed, needless to say I made many trips. We also had a little trouble with the mortar wanting to slip down and off of the wall but we got that under control and the rest was a Go. I can't complain about the trouble because my sons and I had fun working on it. It took more mortar than we thought, turned out a little wonky (the ground is totally not leveled) and a little more time than we hoped but we are looking forward to actually using it. That's right! we haven't had a chance to light it up....Spring in new Mexico is very windy and today it actually rained. Hopefully soon the winds will die down and we will fire that sucker up!

lately I have been doing more cooking than sewing. Have been thinking of closing my Etsy shop, not sure what I'm going to do yet. I have a bunch of fabric and stuff I would like to do something with and maybe post them or just hope most of it sells at the one show I do here locally. Times have not been easy and I just really feel like I've been spinning my wheels and am frankly discouraged. Also, I'm still mourning the loss of my Serge :-( Things have been tight and a Serge is not at the top of the list of things to buy. That's just life for now, I can't say anything for sure...

I really like this meat substitute called seiten, I used to eat it allot when I was a vegetarian in the 90s and have recently started eating it again. Got tired of buying it in those small packages, so I set out in finding out how to make it myself. I tried doing it with flour, which was a big mess and ALLOT of work. BUT not bad tasting the only thing is that it came out allot spongier than I like. I found out that you can just buy the wheat gluten and I have been making it ever since. I love the versatility of making it myself and being able to season it as I like. Here is the basic recipe for Seiten, it is a good recipe but I use a combination of various recipes that I have found mostly because I like to play with what I put in the stock. This picture is some sieten that I barbecued, It came out really good!

The other picture is of "TVP vegan organic walnut and oat burger" I got the recipe from the "Pitseel" Esty shop. Bought a few recipes from her and they have all been good but I have to say this one is my favorite. My kids really like these too, so they disappear almost as fast as I can make them. I made a bunch because I wanted to freeze some for later But none made it to the freezer. They are yummy,the basic Seiten recipe is also good.

Skirsts and Flags

I've started sewing and decide on making some reconstructed denim skirts. 2 down...I have a few pants I can make into skirts. Hopefully I wont get super antsy by the third skirt. I'm hoping to finish a bunch and have a bunch of skirts by the time "We Art the People" comes around again. Although I'm not opposed to the idea of selling out on Etsy! ;-)

Before I made the skirts I made myself some garden flags, I've been wanting to buy some but haven't been able to. So, I decided to go and buy some fabric and make my own. The grand total was roughly $5 or less and I was able to make 2 flag strands. I chose the ckakra colors, They are nice to look at when I go out. Maybe I will make a few more, not sure yet.

Been out of it! sick sick sick

I have been sick now for what seems like a LONG time, it has been like 3 weeks. First I caught some chest thing that was awful! I thought I was getting better a couple of time then fell back to worse, finally I was feeling really good!.....then 2 or 3 days later it was as if everything that had been in my chest which was clear now, went all up to my head. Well, think it's safe to say that this is finally clearing up! It's just not going fast enough for me.
Really haven't been able to get any creative things done, I have a bunch of ideas but when one does not feel so well it is not easy to work or do alto of things one would like to do.
The other thing that happened in my sickness daze was my 21 wedding anniversary. I have been married for 21 years and it has been a learn as you go journey! But I suppose most of life is that way. Chalk full of character building experiences, as always my hope is to come out the other end having learned something and grown from it in a positive way. That is always my hope, anyway.
Next week I'm looking forward to getting back to making some cool stuff! My goal was to post at least 3 new things a week (hopefully more!) and hope to get back to that, next Friday I should have at least one or two new things to post.

Reiki for All?

I have been reading up of Reiki and trying to see and learn all the possibilities. I have to say that I’m really liking what I’ve read so far….but like with most things I have some questions! First of all an observation, The high cost of becoming a practitioner. I suppose that for some it is not High but for someone like myself is nearly impossible for now. Lets see an introductory class to Reiki 1 cost about $160.00 locally. Lets not forget the 2 pre classes that I believe cost $60. After you do level one then the price goes up and up the further you go. This is a little discouraging since Reiki is an unlimited force available to ALL? Well, that’s if you can afford it…..of course! I’m a fool I suppose to think that something that is ultimately freely given by the Universe and is inbreed in all of us would be easy to obtain. Hmmm, I guess it is if you have the money? I hope not

This leads me to a big search, the Library, on line and anywhere that I can get info. From what I have read in most of the books I have, is that it can work with various beliefs. This is great news and I was happy to hear it since I’m not Buddhist, Taoist….or any other eastern religion. It’s nice that it is something that a variety of beliefs can do! Being the die hard DIY woman that I am and being a little offended that this would be cut off to me because of MONEY… almost seems like someone charging me for air. Although I do understand that everyone has to make a living and there are traditions that want to be kept in this or that way of practicing Reiki. BUT like I said…..the DIY person in me says: Who attuned the first guy and gave him all those symbols?…….Oh yeah! NO ONE! From what I understand (might be wrong) He did not use symbols. So there must be a way to access this without having a master do it? I found a few sites that Send you attunements via e-mail, remotely and some that give directions on how to do it yourself all together. I think I will go the do it yourself choice. I would ultimately like to get certified to be abele to “officially” teach or treat folks. I’m interested in using it on one of my dog babies that suffers from joint pain and any other animal that might come my way that might need it. There began my journey with Reiki.

Baking

The past few days I have been SICK! I caught something that is driving me even more crazy than I already am. Thought it was just a 24 hour flu/cold but it appears that I was wrong....as of today I'm still feeling the effects of this thing. It came with the usual aches, pains but it's mostly concentrated in my chest. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better!

Before I got this bug I had started backing....well it was about a week ago and then again this week. I made two quick breads and Irish soda bread and one that said it was a soda bread but certanly is not in a traditional way if at all. Regardless of that it was good. But I think I'm sticking to the basic soda bread recipie. This week I made four loavs 2 were plain and 2 I added 1 cup of walnuts and 1 cup of dried cherries to the recipie. Also increased the sugar to 1/2 or 3/4 cup can't remember exactly. It was not too sweet, cam out nice and taste great too!

I recently finished this mixed media piece. It is made out of a weathered spray paint can, wires, nails and other findings. Will be posting to my Art Fire shop soon. It was very overcast and stormy today and it was difficult getting a good picture because my house if a little dark and the flash on the camera was too bright. High and low...

This week I was determined to start working like I've never worked before!!! I would sew, paint then sew and paint some more. Well, that's what I wanted...guess it started out that way until my serger broke. That was a little disturbing but I was determined on going forward. The down side to this is that I had planed to make a bunch of reconstructed hoodies and sweater pull overs. I'm still very positive that I will get a serger soon but haven't yet.

Moved on and have been working on some resin pieces that i'm going to make into earrings and a few pendants. It's not what I originally had planed and perhaps that's why I have been a little disturbed or maybe it's just because I'm always a little crazy and disturbed! Hahaha! So, this with a combination of that and things going on in my life helped me go on a little emotional roller coaster ride. I can fly very high and sink low very, very quickly. This has been one of those weeks when i have been in a creative low, maybe you know? When most of the things you try to make or do come out so so at best and out the window or in the trash at there worst. That's just how it goes sometimes.

Maybe next week will be better, I want to start working on some more purses and totes. Haven't made any in a while, think I was a little bummed about the "handmade" thing. The last time I made a bunch was to send out there, but that's in the past now and I'm moving forward. I'm hoping to have a few new ones in my shop by next week.

I decided to use this picture I took with my phone on one of my walks, I thought I'll just take a quick pic of the thorns and sand. I knelled down and put my hand down on the ground and felt PAIN....yeah, I had put my hand down on a bunch goat head thorns! Ouch! I had to pluck those suckers out of the palm of my hand. Anyway that is the picture I took :-D

Frozen time

I have just posted these two pendants. My attempt at steampunk, I used parts from a couple of watches and assembled them in the little oval resin mold. Anyone who has ever worked with resin, knows that this is not always the simplest thing to do! Sometimes it's not easy to keep those dang bubbles away! But all came out well enough with these two and I have finally got around to posting them.

My FreeLance Life

It is interesting to me how people live. We all make choices in life that impact the way our lives turn out, or at least in what direction they go. For me it was choosing the freelance life! Well didn't really wake up one morning and say "I'm going to live the freelance life!!!" No, that's not how it happened. Art was always part of my life ever since i was a young child, my goal was to go to art or fashion school. As it turns out i did get accepted to Fashion school after jumping thru hoops and fire! Then something unforeseen happened with the funding and I was not able to STAY in fashion school.

That's how life is sometimes....soon after that I married my husband who was and is an artist. Most of the time we have been married (except for about 7 years or so) he has been a freelance comic book artist. This is how my particular journey began or should I say our journey began. I for some time was busy with our kids and things of everyday life, that sometimes seem to take top priority. Luckily in recent years I have gotten the chance to work on more of my art and sewing creations.

I think it needs to be said, that the freelance life is not always an easy one and NOT for the weak at heart...Hahaha! I say this because it is an up and down journey for sure. You could say it's feast or famine. There are also things like health insurance and more importantly figuring out how to live without a steady weekly or bi-weekly income. I suppose it's different for everyone who lives this way, it all depends on what field you work in, how often work comes in and how big the checks are in between checks. We have managed to keep 3 kids alive and live relatively well. :-) A fact I have to attribute to my husbands talent and hard work. I myself have been selling what I make for a few years, I do local craft shows and have consign at some shops.

My personal goal is to have a more steady stream of sales, which means i have to produce much more than I have been. Try to post regularly, once or twice a week (hopefully things folks will want to buy!) and probably look for a few new places to consign. I have a renewed fire in doing so.....this past year was a difficult one on many levels and like allot of people out there money has been tight. With bills, kids, the government money just seems to go as fast as it comes in! I went out to look for a 9 to 5, I applied at a bunch of places. Most of them got back to me saying "no thank you". Which is fine with me....the process of applying and possibly getting a job that I will hate was not appealing to me at all!!! I have worked retail jobs before and know that I don't like them. I have become accustomed to living on my own terms and have done so for most of my life. This brings me back to the freelance life.....it is a lifestyle and once you go to work somewhere for 8 hours. You lose it!

The thing that I really love about this life is the possibilities of any given day and the future. Maybe creating the next great thing or just something that is really satisfying to oneself and maybe something that others will love (even if its on a smaller scale). You also have the choice to dress how you like and in our case made it possible to home school our 3 kids. There are many small details that I like about my life and know for a fact that I would rather work my behind off and produce double what i do now in order to stay away from having to do a retail job or something similar. Those jobs are just NOT for me, regardless of the ups and downs of this life style I do not want another one. My husband and I have worked hard at sustaining this life IN order to be free to choose how and what we want to do with our lives. This has been one of the greatest gifts to me and has helped me enjoy my life Journey. I can explore, create, love and exists in my own space on my own terms and that alone is worth the struggle.

Another year has passed and is now history. This past year was interesting to say the least, there was allot of things going on in my world this past year and not all were good. But to say it was all bad would also be a lie. There were lessons learned and like most years ended up with some really nice emotional scars. Hahaha!

There is the trick... I think, taking these experiences that happen to us and learn what we can from them and try to move forward in a positive way. Although it is not always an easy thing to do! Sometimes I think it's easier to sit and fester in the sorrow or pain of things that happen to us BUT fight it! Forward is the way to go. Sure it is important to mourn and even have a good cry sometimes but then these things have to be released because if they are not. All that does is bring more negative energy to you and the people around you. That's also important to remember, that we affect the people that we love and love us. I try to remember this but am not always successful myself %100 of the time, as I can be very temperamental.

This year I have realized a few things and learned new things about myself that i could not see in the past and for this I'm grateful. The choices I have made in my life are mine and I take responsibility for them good and bad. No matter what happened in the year that has gone by.....the thing that I know is that I'm moving forward letting go of the negative things trying to pull me down and do my best to embrace the beautiful things and love in life.

I hope to stay away from a 9 to 5 job and work very hard this coming year on creating new and interesting things for my shops. Both with my sewing and painting!

It's official

It is official now, my run at HandMade has ended. I'm sorry to say! As of the beginning of this month I have been out. Due to the economy and the distance things just didn't work out. I really do wish I had been able to join the store while I was living in the area. It was difficult not knowing what was selling, what wasn't. It's also great for the folks who are closer, they can be "hands on" and are able to rotate things in and out of the space. All the good stuff that goes along with being in the area. I can only say good things about the owner and all the workers there. They were great and helped me a bunch. I was sad not to be able to continue with them. I really think it is a great store full of wonderful creations! Farewell for now Handmade. If you are in the Los Angeles area make sure to stop in and visit this great place.

Here is a new mixed media piece I did. It's acrylic with some found objects (bottle cap and key),paper and wax. I absolutely LOVE working with wax! It smells so nice when it's all melted and you are working with it. I also love the finished look of the wax on any given project. Here are 3 pictures of it in different stages. The thing I have learned about finished wax pieces is that they are not so easy to photograph, it's hard to get the dimension and texture on them. If you have ever been inclined to work with wax but haven't gotten around to it? Well, give it a try. Wax is interesting and fun to work with!

Here is a trio of resin belt buckles I finished. I will be putting them in my Etsy shop soon! I wanted to take pictures today but it turned out to be a very overcast day. The plaques in the back are also new. The little black and white guy is "The Love Doctor" and I shouldn't forget the Frida Skull piece. These are done with watercolor some acrylic and wood burning.

Have also been working on a mixed media wax collage painting. Will try to post some pictures soon. I'm off to continue my gray day, reminiscing about gray times, trying not to drown in all the gray.....

Ice Cream Belt Buckles

I have decided to post the rest of the resin belt buckles I made on Etsy. These were fun to make...I made little molds of each small Popsicle and poured various colors of resin and added wooden Popsicle sticks. The larger Ice cream cone is an already made mold. Of course I had to add glitter and bright colors!

This is the third like this but they are all different in various ways. One of them was done on a wooden plaque and this one and another were done on canvas.

The Mrs

I was able to finish the companion piece to the new Day of the dead painting I did. Today was the cut off date to submit art. As usual I finished it today about an hour before taking it and I got there about 45 minutes before they closed. Always cutting it close! I have named the pieces "MR and Mrs. " They are still and forever will be in love enjoying each others company and a good smoke! They are acrylic paintings on canvas and will be displayed at Off Center for their day of the dead show.

Alright, I have finished this one! I actually started this piece a while back and then put it aside and just got around to again. The finished things is a little different then I had first intended. After I do one more painting (of something else) I will try to paint his counter part. These are similar to my wood burning mixed media pieces.

Foam Heads and Distractions

Went out and bought a couple of white foam heads from a local store the other day. Needed them to display the hoodie scarf combo creations. Quickly decided I couldn't leave them white! It's a compulsion of mine that I must cover, paint and redecorate most of the things I get my hands on. Wanted to do something simple and fast, something I would not spend to much time on. So, decided that tissue paper and Mod Podge would do the trick. I decoupaged one Dark and the other a lighter blue. Cant say I'm super happy with them but they came out ok, especially since they will be cover up with hoodies most of the time. But I have these things sitting around my art space so I'd prefer they be semi interesting (at least). Just realized I took pictures of them and not one with a hoodie (which is what i made them for).

This was one of my distractions for the week, besides making hoodies. I have had a very restless and fidgety week with my thoughts racing and running circles around my sanity. But that's nothing new, I guess. I'm on the hunt for another distraction but this is also nothing new and could be why I do not accomplish as much as I really could!

Distraction:

#1 always leaves me blue and likes to pretend I'm invisible

#2 could be real or could be a figment of my imagination

#3 is my imagination

#4 runs away when I'm trying to create

#5 silly humans that do silly things

#6 silence...wait I hate silence because it's never really silent!

We Art the People 09

"We Art the People" 09 has come and gone! It was a bunch of fun and got to see folks I haven't seen in a while, which was great! The Festival had a really nice atmosphere but it always does. The parade was so much fun to see, there where allot of really great musicians who made it a very lively day. I also shouldn't forget the belly dancers! Who were very lovely. A big thank you to all the wonderful people who swung by my booth.

Reonstructed Life

Sometimes we think we know what we want. We talk in definitives and want things to turn out a certain way. Almost as if we know things will be alright, when we know nothing of the sort. It takes courage to believe in the unknown but the trouble is...sometimes the unknown turns out to be nothing like we wanted it to be. Then we are left with picking up the pieces and the need of reconstructing a new vision that will hopefully replace the prior one. If you are lucky sometimes the reconstructed creation is better than what you have left behind. Regrets will only bleed you dry and leave you hopeless. But sometimes regret is all there is and whether you like your picture or not you are stuck with it.

We were at the library the other day and found this book. It's called "The secret language of birthdays" by Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elffers. It gives information "personology profiles for each day of the year"
It's a fun book to read, most of the things we read about ourselves were true!!! It was all a little strange. I scanned my birthday you cant see it really well but if you click on it you can see it and hopefully read it. I should really be working and not reading so many books but I can't help it!

Stuck in the middle

You know those people who wake up and the sun shines perfectly on them the rain clouds seem to avoid them, birds sing them lovely little tunes and every thing seems to go their way? Well, I'm not one of those people. Me? I'm stuck somewhere in the middle of almost good and not so great. It must be nice to be one of those people, if they even really exist? I'm almost sure I've seen them maybe met a few? But then again looks can be deceiving and people are often fake...Maybe that's a story for another day

My daughter and I wanted to do a show out of our area, we wanted to go to San Francisco or Los Angeles. One of those two since they were both home for some time for us. I had my heart set more on Los Angles but not sure if it will happen. Wanted to do felt club or bizarre bizarre. But it looks like Bizarre B is no longer going on in Los Angeles. Figures, but if felt club is still going on out there I will try to get in.

It also looks like my run at handmade might be coming to an end soon, I'm kinda bummed out about that... originally I had hoped to be able to go out there every 3 or 4 months to keep tabs on things a little closer. It didn't work out that way and I haven't been able to go down at all and have grown weary of not making my rent. Handmade is a really great store, just wish I still lived closer so I could represent properly. Just another thing I suppose.

I'm looking forward to the yearly show I do "We Art the People", this year it will be held on September 13. This is always a fun show full of nice people and lots of fun. If all goes well I will have lots of new stuff. I have a big pile of socks that will all be sock monsters soon. Totes, purses,skirts, jewelry and other odds and ends. Should be fun!

There has been a lot going on in my life and it always sends me into an over thinking tail spin. I lose sleep with the wheels in my mind constantly turning. I think on who I am and how the people around me affect my life and how I affect theirs. There's always good and bad but sometimes it's sad to say there is more bad then good in some situations.
These are the times when crossroads are reached. Big decisions are made partnerships, marriages, friendships are repaired or stay broken.
There are always road blocks and limits to what one can take and everyone has their own. I have had the misfortune of losing people in my life that I cared about deeply, people I loved and that loved me. Are these people dead? NO...but they could be, in the way that they are no longer active characters in my life. They have left the stage so to speak.
I believe that as adults we all have a choice on who we surround ourselves with and more importantly who we are and who we chose to be. I will not deny that past experiences help form who we are but I do have a problem when a past negative experiance is constantly feeding who you are in the present. Especially if you have had a very chaotic childhood.
Free will, is a wonderful thing! Being able to re-invent yourself and working at becoming who you want to be. Being the sum of what you make yourself, not what was done to you. Being free to chose your own path with your own talents and gifts. Embracing all the good and beautiful things that come your way. Holding on to the love and releasing the pain and hurt. Is this an easy thing to do? Sometimes No, especially when you have been greatly hurt but to add insult to injury is worse.
You have people who become perpetual victims and go around leaving more victims in their wake. Maybe it's comfortable swimming in the cesspool that they are familiar with. Resigning to the idea that there is no other choice, they are who they are and that is their roll in life. Really? I suppose we all have our rolls in life but I refuse to believe that hurting yourself and hurting other people has to be one you resign yourself to. I will never accept this and will not coddle this behavior in the people I love. I don't want or need these sort of people in my life, this is my choice. Don't get me wrong, I do not give up on people easily but when the crossroad is reached and their decision is made to remain the same and it is a detriment more than a benefit. When carelessness, hurt and pain are the order of the day. Then that is were the road splits and our lives take different paths. Otherwise I would become just another victim. Life is to short to be waisted on people who don't have the will or desire to take control of their role in life and insist on taking you down with them. No Thank you!

50 years!

Last week was my Mom and Dads 50th wedding anniversary. FIFTY years that is a long time! They had a great party were they danced and sang into the night. It was wonderful to see them so happy and still in love after so many years. Years which have brought lots of good things but also many struggles.
It makes me reflect on marriage and what a ride it is. It's one of the best and hardest things I've ever done. A marriage is a living organic thing that runs thru all the spectrums of emotions. Getting married is the easy part, staying married now there is the catch! Being married is giving yourself over and in a sense losing control. You have to put your trust in your partner hoping that they will have your best interest at heart and pick yourself up and go on those times when they don't. No one can ever be perfect so we fail each other as spouses, we hurt each other but hopefully the love and devotion is greater then the hurt and pain.
I have been married 20 years but 50 still seems a long way off. I hope to make it there, my Mom and Dad have been a very good example to me. They were great parents and they are great with one another.
I think back on when I first met my husband in high school. How far we have come from those days, he still looks mighty handsome (even more!), is my best and truest friend and is one of the reasons my heart beats. Yes, it's true, I love him to death!
It's a great thing to be able to celebrate Love and Commitment and I was so very pleased to be able to be a part of my parents celebration.

Birthday Time!

Yesterday was my 39th birthday. It was a great day, My dad and I are trying to build a patio cover for a barbecue grill. I was hoping to have it done by my birthday but we ran into a few snags so it's taking a little longer then we thought but it's coming along nicely. After working on the sun cover for a while we packed it up and went to go see the new Terminator movie. It was good movie but I still think I like Star Trek better. Oh! talking about Star Trek, I received the first season of the Star Trek TV series as a gift from my super great family. The two series I could watch over and over are Twilight Zone and Star Trek. I love those shows, they ROCK!

My sons also surprised me with a cute little sculpture of my Nomad character. It is very cute, They made it the night before my B-day and it came out very nice. They also made me a very delicious chocolate cake with fresh strawberries. Mmmm... so good! One more year in my 30s and then I'm off to my 40s. Tick tock tick tock... time is flying by!

Star Trek was GREAT!!!!!!

I Love the Star Trek tv series. I totally had my reservations about this movie. I didn't know if I could stand to see Syler from Heros as Spok and I thought the guy playing Kirk was a soft pansy.
BUT... I have to say "IT WAS A GREAT MOVIE!!!" from beging to end and left me wanting to go on their next voyage. I didn't want it to end, I wanted to go out buy a drink get some popcorn go back in and keep going on the awsome kick ass adventure. All the cast memebers seeemed to fully embrase their rolls. They were convincing and as a spectator you were able to care about the characters and wanted to see them succseed. You might even find it in your heart to feel sympathy for the villian that was greatly portraied by the handsom Eric Bana. I don't want to give to much away since it just came out but I would recomend you go see this movie. Even if you are not a Sci-Fi person you will like this movie!

New purses headed to Handmade!

I had hoped to have a lot more done to send this week to Handmade. I was able to finish 7 purses, there are 4 recycle baby and 3 Yo yo flower purses. I like the way the recycle baby purses came out. I make little recycle baby dolls and thought they would look cute on a purse. These babies give me another chance to use more of my fabric scraps. I try not to waste fabric so these two styles are great! The Yo yo purses are fun because not one comes out the same, they are all unique. :o)

Something kinda cool! One of my wax collage art pieces appeared on The Cougar realty show. Don't know the episode # but it was the one where the guys go into Handmade to buy her a gift. One of them bought something from my booth! Yay!Here is the piece that was bought.

I've been busy lately with the family and trying to get another shipment ready to send to Handmade. I'm trying to get 8-10 bags done, at least 3 new sock monsters and a few more pieces of jewelry by Tuesday.

Haven't done any local shows this year. Just haven't been able to catch up! Since I have been shipping most things I make away, I don't have anything to take if a show comes up. I know I will be doing "We Art the People" 4 sure. It's a great show and isn't until August (I think). I'm going to try to have a variety of new things. My goal is to have my trunk full of Sock monsters, Jewelry, and recycled clothes. Mostly skirts and summer tops,Oh and some Art! Whew, I better start working faster! I got tired just thinking of making all that stuff! Still need to get a new 10 x 10 cover. It was a bummer that my last one gave out on me so soon, it wasn't that old. OK ,maybe? I might of closed it wrong but there was rain,hail,thunder and lightning threatening my very life!!!

There is also my Etsy shop, it was barren for a while. I'm making a point of making things to post. Even though sales haven't been so great lately.
:-( Hoping it will pick up soon. Just joined a new Etsy street team they are also putting on shows. Hopefully I can get it together to participate in the upcoming event. Although I am a little burnt out on doing unestablished shows. People don't know about them...They Don't show up! It is draining and disappointing.

Guess I should go to bed, one more thing. I was so annoyed by something last week and just wanted to say this. Anyone out there have a "Friend"
or acquaintance that you haven't spoken to in a while. Maybe or maybe not but if you do. Don't call that person out of the blue just to ask for a favor! If U don't communicate on the regular or care how they are really doing DO NOT ask them for favors. It's rude, annoying and it sucks! Anyway, I'm just saying. :-/

I was in an earring making mood yesterday. So, I made a bunch of little record earrings. These earrings are fun and colorful. They are the first post of the week, hopefully the weather will be nice this week and I will be able to take pictures of a few other things I have been working on. The windstorms have been crazy out here in Albuquerque, one minute it's sunny and warm the next there is dust, hail, wind, cold, warmth...all in the same day! That's the desert for you, gotta love it!

I have not had the opportunity to update my blogg lately. Thanksgiving was great! There was lots of food, family and fun!
As usual I've been busy with the family, obsessed with my dogs and working on "stuff". I can't believe how FAST this year went by. Another year almost gone, wow!
I've been working on sock monsters, zombie bags, other bags and purses and reconstructed clothes. Oh, I've also been resin obsessed! I've been making resin jewelry and belt buckles. There does not seem to be enough hours in the day to do all the things I would like to do. Here are pictures of a few things.

Well, it's been an interesting month. This month we made a trip to Tulsa Oklahoma for Def con. Met lots of very nice people had a chance to see some old acquaintances and had some fun. Tulsa is a nice city but we happened to go in the middle of a super hot heat wave. Even from someone coming from New Mexico, I was melting! I took a few of my creations and made some sales. Hopefully we will make it back around next year.
I only had one week before "We Art the People Folk Art Festival" to get more product done. As usual I didn't get as much as I wanted done but I had enough. The bad thing is that about 2:00 The rain and thunder moved in!!! Just like the weatherman said, what a time for him to be right! It was fun while it lasted.

So, thought I'd share a few of the things that I have been working on..and it's back to work I go ;)

I have been working on clothing lately. I have been Recycling clothes since I was in high school but with fashion school (FIDM) falling thru after only attending 2 days ( because of money issues) and a few years later the consecutive birth of my kids I had only done it for myself for some time. Dreams are not so easy to keep alive sometimes. Life has a great way on sending you on detours. But when you love to do something you usually find some way to keep doing it in some form or another. :o)

I have also been working on some fun new unisex zombie bags. Should have some ready by Saturday, so if you are local stop by The Frida show say hi and check them out. Here are a few pictures check them out.

Random Birthday Thoughts

Just had a B-day last week, 38 years on this glorious earth. Had a great day of B-day goodness. Had some birthday thoughts. Here are a few in no particular order,

It would be great if people were nicer and basic manners would be nice to!

Want to produce way more than I do, I'm in love with Art and creating new things. Art has been a great gift to me.

My husband is wonderful. My best friend and I would be lost without him.

Seems like time goes by so slow when your little and gets progressively faster the older you get.

18,14,12 the age of my children. My daughter is now the age I was when I had her. Life is strange.

Having kids makes U notice the passing of time even faster! U can always tell yourself they are growing up fast but I'm still the same, How did that happen? You could tell yourself that, but wouldn't that mean a stunt in your personal growth?

Sometimes I viciously miss some of the people that were left behind in time. Might cross paths again with a few and some I know I will never see again, but I will always cherish all in one form or another.
Life can be boring, happy, painful, sad, joyful, mysterious .....
There was a time when I was younger I questioned If I wanted to stay in this hostile place. I was almost sure I didn't. But there was the catch for me, Life with all it's ups and downs is a very interesting thing. It's like reading a great book you can't put it down because you want to know what comes next and how it will end. Life is a wonderful thing.

I'm thankful and grateful to God for his mercies and grace.
I am eternal but not immortal.

Highs and Lows

I've been in a little creative funk. I still need to get a couple of my sewing machines tuned up and that is a bummer. On the up side I was able to get a new machine that does a bunch of cute stitches, the down side to this is that this new machine does not do the crazy stitch technique as good as my old ones. I'm looking forward to getting those machines in tip top shape. Last Sunday was Mothers Day It was a pleasant and fun day. My Mom made an awesome breakfast, pancakes,hash browns,eggs and sausage. Oh, coffee of course can't forget the coffee. It was a delicious surprise! Needless to say I think my Mom ROCKS! Not because she made me breakfast but because she is a great mom! We went to a new Church after breakfast. It has been hard finding a Church that we all really like. So here we are two years after our move still looking :o( But that is a story for another day.
Later the kids and I made a bunch of pizzas. We are still eating pizza and should have enough to last until next week. Maybe we made to much? No, just right :o) I also took a trip to a local Goodwill and found another old sewing machine for the super price of $11. It works wonderfully, I love old sewing machines! This one is a Singer 301A slant it came with most of it's attachments except for the knee pedal adapter.
After the pizza was done we had a Zombie fest! We rented the remake of "Dawn of the Dead", Romero's new "Diary of the Dead" and a movie I haven't seen in a long time (which is not officially a zombie movie) "Omega Man". If you see Omega man U should see "The Last Man on Earth" with Vincent Price. Then "I am Legend" Will Smith or maybe read the book first? OK I got off subject :-P

More Reconstructed goodness

I make a lot of reconstructed, repurposed things. A friend of mine gave me some vinyl sign material. You know the kind of signs you can roll up if your done with it or hand outside for long periods of time. Anyway I was able to make three things from what I got, Two messenger bags and a smaller purse. One was for him and the other two are going up for sale and go out into the world to some person who will love them ;) I'm gearing up and using The Force to get ready for a few summer shows and other great local opportunities! Finished Unpacking?

Well, I found these sculptures I made before I moved out to New Mexico. We have been here for a little over 2 years and I'm still finding boxes that have not been unpacked! I took a clay class with my Mom at a senior center out in L. A. It was a great class and the teacher was super nice! Unfortunately we moved before I got a chance to learn as much as I would have liked to learn. The first is supposed to be one of those rock face things people put in their planter and the other was a pre Columbian statue. I'm hoping to find a place and take a class here in Albuquerque soon, I would love to keep learning and creating with clay.

Haven't had time to post much since getting back from my last trip. Thought I would have my van back by now... but still nothing :( The guy says maybe next week, perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. When I got back and thought I could get back into the swing of things. Something weird started to occur, my sewing machines started to go crazy! For some reason or another they were not sewing right. My favorite machine that I use for crazy stitching went the craziest. I tried everything I knew to do but nothing would work. I ended up putting it away because It was in danger of being thrown out the window! There was no logical reason shy they should be so out of whack. I'm planing on taking 2 of them to the shop but maybe I'll try a few more things before then, now that I have calmed down. I think maybe there is a gremlin or a brownie I have angered into a boggart in my studio messing with stuff, up to no good and getting a big kick out of me going nuts! I have managed to make a few things thru my everything breaking down rage and frustration. I will be doing a few local shows and need to pick up the pace a little. We spent last week organizing the art space again. My husband wanted to change out his art desk, so we had to rearrange were he works and ended up rearranging were I work. A lot of cleaning and de cluttering went on. It helped me keep my mess in check and take account of what I have and what I need. That's always good, the bad thing is I didn't get much done last week as far as product goes. Etsy has been particularly slow this month for me. Wish it would pick up a little, no actually I wish it would pick up a lot ;o)
One thing I decided to work on when I was to angry to look at my sewing machines was a painting and a wood burning project. I'm not done with the painting yet but have started another wood burning plaque. I did some wood burning some time back and really wanted to work on something new. So, with this I have started a series of day of the dead portraits. On wood and on canvas. I'm going to buy a large canvas and do my first oversized painting now that I have space to work on it. So, besides the usual being a wife, mother, daughter, home schooling and doting over my doggie babies, that's some of what I have been up to.

There and back again Conventions and Anniversaries

I made it back from San Francisco. It was only a three day comic book convention but I'm such a home body that it seemed longer. I think maybe because it was strictly a work week end. Maybe if we had just gone on a leisure trip it would have been different. I was really happy to be HOME! Traveling always throws me off a little, I wanted to come home and start working right away but that didn't happen so much. I'm getting back into the swing of things, almost a week later.
This Convention weekend happened to fall on my 19th wedding anniversary. Nineteen years went by so fast, it's amazing! It is also official now, I have known my husband two years more then the age we were when we got hitched. Needles to say we are still as crazy as ever and perhaps is why we get along so well. Even if we were working being together made it a good anniversary.

This coming weekend my husband and I are heading to San Francisco to Wonder Con a comic book convention. It will be mostly work but hopefully we will be able to sneak some fun in. I Will Miss Her

Haven't had a chance to spend to much time on the computer or do a lot of work on my creations. It was a very sad week for me, the most rocking, coolest, super cute Guinea pig passed away on Saturday. She was about 5 years old and had seemed to be in perfect health up to a week ago. We took her to the vet on Friday in hopes of making her feel better. They gave us a bunch of stuff, re hydrated her but to no avail. We woke up the next morning and she had passed. Needless to say we are all very sad. I thought I'd share a picture of the sweet little Wendy. I will miss her little squeak and her awesome personality. :o(

2008 Here with a Vengeance, Fast and Furious! OK I don't know about all that but it's here! Had a great Christmas, my bother and sister came to visit from California. It was great to see them since we don't get a chance to see them as often as we did before we moved to New Mexico. I took it easy during the Holiday didn't do a whole lot of sewing but I did mange to make my dog babies a couple of sweaters. No I didn't knit or crochet them, I recycled them from old sweaters, Of course. I made them because it has been cold out here and when My jack rustle terrier mix goes out in the evening to relieve himself he come back in the house shaking with cold. He has little jackets but just wanted to make him a Christmas sweater.
I found three cute shops on Etsy that sell the cutest dog clothes and accessories. The first store is called "Mias closet" She makes the cutest girlie things, I'm going to get my little girl some clothes from here,The first one will be the "Cute but Psycho" shirt. My little Chihuahua mix Lady is very cute and very crazy, It's great! I also Love "Bad to the Bone" The little Charlie brown shirt is 2 cute and will look great on my jack rustle terrier mix Wyatt will look absolutely fabulous in it. The third Etsy shop is "molly mcb and co"

Christmas Already?

It seemed like the year had just started and now it's December! The new year has crept up on me like a sneaky little bandit stealing my days away. Sometime I know were the days have gone but other days just blur away. I did enjoy this year, it was a good year! Not that "things" did not go wrong there were plenty of things that I would have preferred not happen. But overall I was content with my place in life. Enjoying and living in the moment, after all there is no guarantee that you will have another moment like it or another moment at all for that matter. I think it's important to be content were you are at the moment, looking forward to better,different things and not dwelling on the past or "not so great things" that have happened.

I'm grateful this Christmas and New year for all that I have, all the great people I have met this year and all the great people already in my life, they are a constant blessing. My brother will be here from California this Christmas and we are looking forward to seeing him and his wife.
I have been trying to keep working and be creative and have been semi- successful. I can never just work on one things, I usually work on at least three. Sometimes it makes things faster, sometimes it's all horribly slow. :o)
So, Christmas is 10 days away! Ready or not it's on it's way.

It's true they have gone away. I had fun making them and they have moved on to new homes :). Yesterday was the Duke City Renegade show and I was pleased that I sold a few things. It's always great to see the other members! It was the first show we had as a group, I thought it was decent for the first one. There seemed to be enough space for everyone and most people seem to have sold something. I also have to say that Ren(www.artbyrenadams.com) and Ken(www.Skintillate.etsy.com) did a great job getting and keeping it together.

Monkey collage purse
